THE CONFESSION

This week, I’ve been utterly exhausted.

Perhaps the cosmos are asking me to rest.

My husband has been traveling, and I’ve easily fallen back into some of my old ways: eating most dinners with my parents and staying the night with them.

And honestly? I love it.

I love getting to be their kid sometimes. I love the sleepovers, staying up late talking with my mom, and daydreaming about the future. We remodel our houses in conversation and imagine all the different versions of our lives we might create together.

One of my favorite things is talking with my mom about how I can continue leading The FitZen Project. She always brings me back to the same place:

Lead from the heart. Let spirit move through you so the message can be delivered.

Sometimes I forget that when I record.

When I look back over the last year and a half, my favorite episodes are the ones where I began with a moment of presence and prayer—especially with my guests. Those are the conversations where I felt most connected, most open, and most like myself.

And then there are the episodes I white-knuckled my way through because I needed a talking point for the week.

If I’m being completely honest, last week’s episode was one of those.

Not because I didn’t care. I cared so much that I pushed past my own capacity.

My brain has been running on ten cylinders. Behind the scenes, I’ve been pulling sixty-hour weeks because I am completely infatuated with what I’m creating. I can’t stop thinking about it.

But that doesn’t leave much room for recording, editing, writing emails, keeping up with the administrative work, or tending to the communication side of this dream.

It may also explain why my emails haven’t been arriving as consistently as they used to.

Still, things are being created.

THE LEMON SQUEEZE 🍊:

And as soon as I capture the right momentum, I’m going to tell you about it.

What I can say is this:

It’s big.
It’s bold.
And I stay up at night wondering, I hope I’m ready for this.

It has made its way into my dreams. It’s the last thing I think about before I fall asleep and the first thing I think about when I wake up.

Perhaps it’s a new obsession.

Or perhaps it’s simply the next version of the work asking to come through.

Either way, I’m learning that I don’t have to force every part of the process. I can pause. I can listen. I can let the next right thing reveal itself.

MICRODOSE OF COURAGE 💊

So, this week’s Microdose of Courage is simple:

Rest before you need to be rescued by rest.

Next week, I’ll be back with my “Meet the Author” conversation with Scott Lackey, who returned to The FitZen Project after we read his remarkable book.

Stay tuned.

I have a witch’s brew a-brewing—and it’s shaping up to be the perfect magical cocktail.

With love,

Rachel
